GHB call up 20 players for Junior Pan Am Tournament

The Guyana Hockey Board (GHB) released the names of twenty players to represent Guyana at the upcoming Junior Pan American Championship scheduled to be staged in Trinidad and Tobago from October 17-26.
The tournament will be played on a round-robin basis.

Those called are: Raphael DeGroot, Zach Gonsalves, Philip Xavier, Eric Hing, Trevon Smith, Shaka Gill, Orin Mayers, Kevin Fogenay, Jason Hoyte, Leonard George, Carl Wilson, Michael Xavier, Al Fredericks, Peter DeGroot, Jason Clarke, Shaquelle Assana, Stephen Xavier, Leroy Jack, Amarnauth Ramgathi and Ryan Primo.

Guyana is grouped in Pool ‘B’ along with Canada, Chile, Mexico, Brazil and Barbados, while Argentina, Trinidad and Tobago, United States of America, Jamaica and Puerto Rico comprise Pool ‘A’.
The squad is currently engaged in practice sessions at the GCC ground.
