A total of 52 goals were scored on the opening night of action in the Network Deliverance Ministry Third Annual Inter Church Futsal competition which kicked off on Saturday afternoon at the National Gymnasium.
Eight matches were contested with Elim ‘B’ recording the largest margin of victory, 8-4 over World Vision.
Phillip Rowley netted a hat-trick, Rondell Adams a brace with one each to Timothy Telford, Karama Holder and Owen Pinder. For World Vision, Terrence Wharton also scored a hat-trick with the other from Ronald Murray.
Tucville Assembly of God (Odell Williams 2) were 3-1 winners over Beacon Ministries (Linden Pickett).
Network Deliverance Ministry (NDM) behind a helmet-trick from Lomell Johnson got past JDMI 5-3. Averell Johnson scored the other for NDM while Alex Murray was the only scorer for JDMI.
In other matches, Elim ‘A’ 4 (Sherwin Vincent 3, Randolph Singh 1) beat Harvest Time 2 (LeAndre Fergus 2).
Beacon Ministries ‘A’ 5 (Colwyn Barnwell 2, Orson Washington 2, Keoma Sullivan 1) defeated Fountain of Life 3 (Kennard Reidwaild, Takari Bynoe, Gavin Sparman).
Love and Faith 2 (Raymond Mohamed 2) edged True Warriors of God 1 (Leon Ramcharran). Heavenly Light ‘B’ 4 (Zafanauth Peters 2, Michael Young 1, Sherwin Anderson 1) won against Emanuel Victory and Praise 2 (Yannick Parker & Melvor Rose).
Heavenly Light ‘A’ 5 (Delon Williams 2, Jevon Lythcott 2, Julian Harry 1) hammered New Covenant 0.
Competition is expected to continue on Saturday at the same venue.
