After more than two months in hospital, 40-year-old Winston Barker is desperately hoping that the police will capture the man who doused him with acid, causing severe burns to his face and upper body.
Barker, of Albouystown, sustained the injuries when he went to the rescue of his mother who was being brutalized by her reputed husband.
Speaking to this newspaper yesterday, Barker said that his stepfather is always in the habit of abusing his mother at their Albouystown home.
He said that in July, his mother called him during one of her beatings.
According to Barker, when he arrived at the home, his stepfather attacked him and they had a physical confrontation.
Barker said that after getting the better of the man, his stepfather grabbed a bottle of acid and threw the contents on him.
The man then fled the home and has not been seen since.
