The Parrot is confused; confused as Uncle Freddie was recently, well probably still is. I am confused about the same person, or issue, that led to Uncle Freddie’s state of befuddlement; Uncle Murray from the Place of CONgress.
Unlike Uncle Freddie, my state of bemusement is just about forty-eight hours and counting. His, may need carbon dating. That aside, there have been some strange developments over the last few days at Palm Tree jungle.
These developments are “hot on the heels” of the EPA consultation twelve days ago; developments that are leading to some confusion.
As it is common knowledge now, Uncle Murray very eloquently supported Guyana’s position taken by Uncle Bharrat on the EPA.
Now, Uncle Murray knows his “onions” in this regard. After all, he is a former man of Trade when Uncle Desmond was in charge.
During the consultation, he was basically in the capacity of the Man-in-Charge of the Place of CONgress since Uncle Bob is not around.
By the way, where is he? Uncle Bob had said that when he is not around, Uncle Murray WILL be around. Know what I mean? In charge of the jungle and things; in other words, the boss.
Well, apparently somebody didn’t tell the North-en guy this, not the Doctor who has much to celebrate this month; the other one who has a mouth, oops…sorry, who has months of experience, or lack of, as a former Diplomat.
It seems as if he was avoidably absent from the meeting prior to Uncle Bob’s departure for his fall, the season that is, vacation up north.
At this meeting a Palm Tree covenant was sealed; a covenant which dictates the rules of engagement and authority in Uncle Bob’s absence; a covenant that would see Uncle Murray stepping into Uncle Bob’s small shoes. The actual size beats me right now.
From all indications, the North-en guy in question wanted to wear Uncle Bob’s shoes. Uncle Bob sensed some disquiet-ness over his shoes by the North-en guy.
Having only one pair and being indisposed to more than one person wearing it at a time, Uncle Bob took one side with him; the right, and left the left for Uncle Murray to wear.
Having seen Uncle Bob’s shoes over the years and being a smart economist, Uncle Murray had secretly bought a similar pair of cheap shoes some time back.
He knew that one day it would come in useful. With the right side from his pair and the left that Uncle Bob left, Uncle Murray made his way to the EPA consultation.
He had a mandate, left by Uncle Bob’s left shoes, to speak on behalf of the Place of CONgress on the EPA. His, and his Palm Tree jungle support, were commended by Uncle Bharrat.
This apparently angered the North-en guy. How dare Uncle Bharrat speak good things about Palm Tree jungle? Herein lies my state of “comfufflement”.
Isn’t it the same North-en guy who always seems to be “Cross-talking” about how Uncle Bharrat is not being inclusive and excludes the Palm Tree jungle from being involved in issues of national importance? Weren’t they included? Weren’t they represented by their Chairman and leader in Uncle Bob’s absence?
The North-en guy’s current position on the EPA is a total reversal on what Uncle Murray posited earlier. Maybe there is more to it.
Is this an indication of serious divisions in Palm Tree jungle? Interesting. Only Uncle Bob will tell. See why I am confused Uncle Freddie?
