DEAR EDITOR,
Winning a lottery or inheriting $60 million are two ways I would suggest to the Joint Services and the informant in the case involving the deceased, ‘Fine Man,’ that you will be comfortable spending; but to accept that amount for personal use will do you no good, and I am referring to the Kaieteur News report dated September 14, 2008.
Apart from the informant, whom we would never know if he/she exits, the Joint Services have a civil duty and responsibility to society at large, and don’t let a figure or bounty on one’s life be the motivator in performing those duties.
Every cent of that $60 million should be returned to charities of your respective choices, contribute to the Human Services Ministry towards the campaign in assisting single parents, or have it plugged into the education system for special schools.
I am not certain, but I think that there is such a school in Sophia, and St. Barnabas on Regent Street would be another good choice.
