A series of warm-up tournaments has been organised by the Guyana Darts Association in the coming weeks as they prepare players for the National Open Championships and the annual Bryden’s Classic Competition in Barbados in November.
According to a release from the GDA, the opening event planned is a ‘Luck of the Draw’ competition which will take place this Friday, at the Salt Air Sports Club, Le Meridien Pegasus. The tournament is being sponsored by C. Harrison and cash prizes are up for grabs.
Meanwhile, the National Open will commence during the final week in October and among the categories to be contested are the Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles along with the Mixed Doubles and Triples and a 4-member team competition. The release added that the venue will be announced shortly.
