On Friday, over two hundred female students participated in a cake display exercise after partaking in eight weeks of a ‘First Level Cake Decoration Course’ at the home of their teacher, Audrey Hunter, in Fourth Street, Alberttown.
Head of the Benschop Foundation, Mark Benschop (seated right), and cake decoration course tutor, Audrey Hunter (seated left), are surrounded by some of the participants at yesterday’s cake display exercise.
Forty of those students were loud in their praise for the Benschop Foundation, which financially sponsored their participation in the very beneficial exercise.
Sources at yesterday’s graduation exercise revealed that it was the fifth such venture, and that they have benefited greatly from the courses, since they are now much better equipped to execute culinary chores and more able ‘to spring better baking surprises’ in the kitchen.
Colorful and artistically decorated cakes were displayed in the form of rabbits, pretty butterflies, ships, summer hats, and even Barbie dolls and spring cottages.
The Benschop Foundation has contributed to many other similar activities, and has also been very active in assisting the needy homes and citizens residing in depressed and underprivileged societies.
