Local beverage giants Banks DIH will square off with Republic Bank Ltd. in a feature 25-over Tapeball Cricket match this evening at Thirst Park ground under lights.
Both teams have named strong lineups for the clash which is expected to start at 18:00 hours.
Cricket fans will be in for a treat in what is expected to be a closely fought contest.
Banks DIH named a 14-man team to be captained by Otis George and will include Owen Grannum, Randy Carroll, Navindranauth Puran, Delon Cox, Seon Simpson, Steven Waldron, Glenford Stephens, Marvin Belle, Jermaine Martin, Narvin Allen, Yugesh Singh, Claron Monchoir and Collis Willie with the manager being Troy Peters.
RBL’s side will be skippered by Nigel Trotman and will include former national footballer Terrance Archer, Kelvin Bovell, Lyndon McPherson, Colin Abel, Dayiann Denny, Devan Kemraj, Azar Aladdin, Tyrone Atkinson, Sunil Bianchini, Tyrone Tyrell, Ameer Hassan, Fidel Cameron, Steven Persaud and Raymond Sookdeo with Carlos Bernard serving as manager.
According to Banks DIH Communications Manager Troy Peters, today’s game is being played in an effort to foster better relationship among the staff of local business entities. He indicated that similar matches have been planned over the next two months.
