NDM 3rd Annual Futsal tourney to kick off on Saturday
The third annual Inter Church Futsal competition organised by Network Deliverance Ministry of Norton Street Lodge is set to kick off on Saturday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
According to coordinator, Evangelist Lomell Johnson, 16 church teams including two from the East Coast of Demerara will take on each other for the main trophy. Aiming to retain the championship is Heavenly Light Full Gospel.
Arch Bishop London is expected to deliver the feature remarks at Saturday’s opening ceremony and declare the competition open.
Trophies and medals will be presented to the first and second placed teams with a trophy for third.
The most valuable player of the competition along with the player scoring the most goals will also be rewarded.
Among the sponsors on board to date are Nigel’s Supermarket, Celltronics, Funds Mini Mart and Hollow Block Masters.
Saturday’s opening is expected to get underway at 16:00hrs.
