Competition in the DeSinco Trading under-18 football league continued yesterday at the Parade and
Camptown grounds in the city.
The highlight of the day was a hat-trick from BK International Western Tigers Captain, Colin Nelson and a double from teammate Hakeem Kansinally in their team’s defeat of Renaissance by a 6-1 margin.
Also recording full points of the day were Flamingo and Sunburst Camptown, 2-0 over Thomas United and Santos at the Camptown ground.
In the lone game contested at Parade ground, Beacon took care of Alpha united 4-2 while there were walk overs for GFC and Fruta Conquerors, Pele and Uprising failing to show up.
Western were large and in charge against and outmatched Renaissance. Midfielder Nelson taking it upon himself to give his team the lead after a few easy chances went by the wayside in the opening minutes. He scored in the 14th, 22nd and 40th (penalty) minute.
Adrian Fitzpatrick made it 4-0 with his 43rd minute strike while Kansinally tucked in his double in the 53rd and 61st minute. Trevor Grenville pulled one back for Renaissance in the 65th.
Mark Moses (61) and Keifa Small (68) were the players on target for Sunburst Camptown in their win over Santos.
Andre Meusa and Roy Samuels with goals in the 25th and 45th minute respectively guided Flamingo to their victory over Thomas United.
And a double each by Wayne Lawrence (17 & 68) and Lumumba Hinds (47 & 64) secured full points for Beacon against Alpha United who got their two goals from Gavin Bobb (28) and Seon Peters (38).
