Clint Duke who captured the 154 – 165 pounds division
and veteran Lindie Sharpe, who was the best in the 166 – 176 pounds category at the 2008 Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation (GABBFF) Cellink Senior Championships, will represent Guyana at this year’s Central American and Caribbean Bodybuilding and Fitness championships set for the Bahamas, September 24 – 29.
A third athlete, the reigning Mr. Guyana, Mark Perry, who also captured the over 186 pounds division, was also selected but opted not to compete due to personal reasons.
Both Duke (154 – 165) and Sharpe who will compete in the Masters division are confident of continuing Guyana’s rich history of medaling at the CAC, this year. Duke is a member of the Total Package Gym and Sharpe Universal Barbell Club.
They have both been successful as bodybuilders over the years, Duke losing the Mr. Guyana title this year to fellow Lindener Perry.
