DEAR EDITOR,
My message to my fellow Guyanese is to stand up as a united nation in the real sense. Saying that we are a united nation is not yet making that a reality.
My dream for my country is to combine our hearts together, so that we can live with true love, and raise our country to a land of paradise.
It’s time for all of us to sit and think how our grandparents used to live. Why can’t we do the same? Down with racism! We are a majority of Africans and Indians who are known the world over for our indifference, and many give our beautiful country a bad name.
I love my country dearly, so do you; and if we really start a new life of love and understanding, only then will we have a prosperous nation.
We are equal human beings, who are kind and beautiful, but we are foolish at times, because we let anger take control and hatred erupts. The parties should come together and have one governing body.
We are big people. Let’s stop this nonsense that has gripped our beloved country for decades. The world sees us as racists, and it is true that this is the only downfall that is hindering this precious land.
Stand up and join hands to show that we can become one of the best, and then no-one will have to leave our shores. For then we would have the most prosperous land.
If we harmonise, we can crumble each obstacle that hampers our development. Think of our children and future generations to come. Let’s leave a well established legacy.
We need to set examples, using our God given senses efficiently. No more PNC, PPP, or what have you.
It is time for a change, for we are a civilized nation moving forward.
I wish with all my heart that the major parties come together and realize what was lost. May God Bless Guyana.
Concerned Guyanese.
