It will be do or die know as the Chubby under-14 league, knock-out
stage commences tomorrow morning at the Tucville ground following the final round of group matches yesterday.
Eight of the 12 teams who started have earned their place in the knock-out round and they are Beacons, who topped group A along with Fruta Conquerors, Georgetown Football Club (GFC) and Santos, who finished in that order.

In the final group matches yesterday, Thomas United behind a double from Romario Andrews hammered Flamingo 5-0.

Beacon, who won the inaugural competition last year which was played at the under-13 level, have shown that they mean business in retaining the crown at this level with most of the players from last year featuring.
They outplayed Rhythm Squad 4-0, thanks to a brace of goals by Kason Dey (26 & 43) and one each from Captain Kimba Braithwaite (39) and Darren Harris in the 59th minute.
First Assembly, one of the replacement teams in the competition started off very shakily with 2 losses but rebounded in style to take the third place in group B with a fine 2-0 win over Sunburst Camptown, who failed to win any games and ended as the last team in the group. Their win yesterday was sealed with goals by Akini George and Kevin Hardual.
Fruta Conquerors, winners of the Courts under-11 Pee Wee championship are aiming to add this tournament to their list, they secured their 4th win by needling GFC yesterday compliments of a Ryan ‘Bum Bum’ Hackett 10th minute goal.
Also winning by a similar margin was Strike Again against Renaissance. Delano Baptiste fired in the winner in the 39th.
