At a simple presentation ceremony held recently at the Georgetown Cricket Club, the Georgetown Cricket Association handed over three (3) dozen shirts to the Georgetown Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association.
In brief remarks, the President of the GCA, Bishwa Panday said that his organisation considers the Umpires and Scorers to be important stakeholders and the handing over was in keeping with a commitment made earlier when his association met the GCUSA.
Mr. Grantley Culbard in response thanked the GCA for its timely donation and remarked that when his association met the GCA, the GCA was very receptive to the suggestion that shirts be made available to the Umpires.
Mr. Culbard said that the donation will assist the Umpires in properly outfitting themselves.
