Digicel Guyana welcomes Carifesta to its home country

Digicel Guyana has expressed via release that it welcomes the opportunities and prospects of Carifesta X for the Caribbean community.

On the occasion of the Carifesta X opening, Digicel Guyana CEO, Gregory Dean, said that “Digicel is proud to be associated with the Caribbean Festival of Creative Arts.

Carifesta offers the ideal opportunity for Caribbean nations to unite and showcase our diverse heritage and strong talents. Let us live up to the Carifesta X motto: One Caribbean, One Purpose – Our Culture, Our Life.”

He added that “men and women of the Caribbean have unique traditions, culture and skills and Digicel is looking forward to all of this being showcased throughout Carifesta X.”

Digicel has also demonstrated its commitment to the preservation of the Caribbean’s rich cultural heritage by contributing over $12,000,000 to the Carifesta X committee.

Digicel Guyana Head of Marketing, Donovan White, said that during the Carifesta X period, Digicel is giving customers many opportunities to win cash, stylish handsets and VIP tickets for the Digicel Red Hot Summer Scorcher.

Beginning today at the Grand Market, Digicel customers will get a chance to win up to $1,000,000 cash in the exciting treasure chest promotion. Digicel customers can also text CARIFESTA to 1441 for a chance to win handsets throughout the Festival.”

White added that “Carifesta X also falls within the Digicel Red Hot Summer promotion. Persons can still take advantage of our great offers and deals.

The Digicel Red Hot Summer Party is happening on Sunday in Bartica and visitors of Guyana can use this opportunity to enjoy Guyana’s natural beauty.”

Digicel noted in its release that being a truly Caribbean country with operations in 23 markets around the region, the company is committed to supporting various Caribbean cultures in each of its markets.

In Guyana, Digicel is the main sponsor of Mashramani and the Guyana National Football team, among other noteworthy entities.

As an official sponsor of Carifesta X, Digicel will be involved in a number of the mega festival’s events, including the Grand Market, Festival City activities, Book Fairs, Community Festivals, Super Concerts and the Youth Village.
