Police yesterday arrested three men after recovering an illegal .38 revolver during the search of a car in Charlestown.
According to reports, a police patrol operating in the area stopped the car with the three men inside at around 12:00 hours.
It was while searching the vehicle that they recovered the weapon. And an hour later, during a search of a house at Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara, police found two more firearms.
Police Public Relations Officer, John Sauers told this newspaper that the ranks recovered a Winchester rifle and a Remington 12-guage shotgun along with matching rounds for both weapons.
No one has so far been detained in the Bagotstown find.
