In an effort to improve standards in the transportation industry as Carifesta X looms, Wings X-press has become the first taxi service to implement the use of taxi signs on all of its 26 cars.
At its Lot 45 High Street base, owner of Wings X-press, Mohamed Ali, explained that the signs are easily visible on the cars at night or during the day, as they are lighted.
The signs will help to make the taxis more easily identifiable by visitors and tourists to Guyana during Carifesta X and beyond.
Ali added that each of the taxis also has fully comprehensive insurance policies, which cover the passengers as well as the drivers of the taxis.
