The Smart Concepts and Marketing Solutions group officially introduced the Guyana Shopping guide to the public.
At the City Mall on Wednesday last, Guyanese consumers and business owners witnessed the launching of the booklet that is said to be the key to their shopping endeavours.
The marketing group aims at achieving the objective of making shopping in Guyana easier. It also aims to get the six-month project recognised as a means of boosting tourism and also an innovative idea to be accessed for Carifesta X.
The Managing Director of Smart Concepts and Marketing, Sheldon Troy Kellman, at the launch, said that the guide is ideal for various types of businesses operating nationwide.
He further stated that both consumers and businesses will benefit from the product, since it provides a form of advertisement for businesses and saves consumers time.
He related that the guide is one of the most splendid ideas that have ever been introduced to Guyana’s economy. Marketing Manager Richard Vaughn, however, said that the magazine is packed with bargains and sales and allows businesses the opportunity to market their goods and services. He also said that the marketing group is willing to examine any product for advertisement and crate a concept that would enhance its appearance. Also at the launch was Gavin Houston, representative of the Home Health Education Service, one of the sponsors of the product. He said that his company is benefiting from the new shopping guide, since its ads are also included in the magazine. Houston said that consumers may gain the knowledge of shopping experts from reading the guide.
The Executive Director of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, Jean Bacchus, said that she is very pleased with the product and the fact that a simple idea transformed into a well executed project.
Apart from making shopping easier, the guide provides fashion, health tips and entertainment, inspirational readings, life skills, recipes and local jokes.
