Outstanding performers rewarded at GMR&SC ceremony

Divisional champions and other outstanding performers from the July 27 Race Meeting were rewarded when the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) held its awards ceremony last Friday evening, at the Club’s Headquarters in Thomas Lands.

The following are the individual champions of the various categories: Rookies- Shan Seejattan; Group 2A- Chet Singh; Group 2B- Gavin Gouveia; Group 3- Kem Lall; Group 4- Andrew King; 600cc Motor Bike- Mark Menezes; Lightweight Motor Bike- Christopher McLean; Shifter Karts- Kristian Jeffrey.

The Overall Champion of the day title ended up in a four way tie: Andrew King, Kem Lall, Shan Seejattan and Gavin Gouveia all won three races each and as such tied for the prestigious title.

The best mechanic award was presented to Harold Veersammy of Team Fullworks after his team picked up three victories and three third places.
