As part of their mandate for the development of football in Guyana and across the region, Digicel will be hosting a coaching clinic involving 100 young players prior to the kick off of group B action in the Digicel Caribbean Championships in Guyana next Wednesday.
The clinic is set for tomorrow at the Georgetown Cricket Club ground, Bourda beginning at 09:00hrs with registration.
A similar clinic was held at the same venue before Guyana hosted group H of the last competition and was a resounding success.
Making the announcement was Digicel’s Marketing Executive Shirwin Campbell at the launch of Group B action at the Cara Lodge on Thursday.
He said that the local based ‘Golden Jaguars’ will be in charge of the sessions.
“The main objective behind this is to give the upcoming generation a chance to see what it is like to be with the big ones ‘Golden Jaguars’. It is also a means of harnessing fresh blood for the clubs and ultimately our county.”
The successful persons for the clinic were selected based on them texting the word KICK to 1441 based on a promotion ran by Digicel.
