A dispute over a portion of land has left a West Demerara farmer nursing a gunshot wound.
Komal Persaud Ramdhanie of Number Two Canal Polder, West Bank Demerara, was shot in the left hand by a relative at about 10:30 hours yesterday at Kamuni Creek, Upper Demerara River.
Police in a press release stated that investigations revealed that Ramdhanie and a relative were involved in an argument over the land during which he was allegedly shot.
He was taken to the GPHC for medical treatment.
His assailant has not yet been arrested.
