A team of police ranks has been dispatched to Frenchman Landing, Essequibo River, to investigate a report of a suspected murder in the area.
According to a police press release, at about 03:00hours yesterday, the police at Mabura Outpost received a report of a murder at Frenchman Landing.
The police were dispatched shortly after to conduct enquiries.
However, reports state that getting to the location requires a great deal of walking. The police were not able to provide any confirmed reports since, up to press time, the team had not returned. Investigations are ongoing.
