SKELDON, CORENTYNE – The body of a man of African descent, which was found on the Number Sixty-Three Beach on the Corentyne at about 07:30 hours on July 21 last, is still awaiting identification.
Commander of Division ‘B’ of the Guyana Police Force, Assistant Commissioner Clinton Conway, is appealing to members of the public to assist in revealing the identity of the man.
According to police reports, the man is suspected to be in his twenties, is five feet, three inches tall, and is of dark complexion.
The throat was slashed and the body was burnt on several parts. The victim was wearing a mauve jersey, a pair of blue jeans and a pair of orange running shoes.
The body is at the Skeldon Hospital morgue. The police became aware of the issue after an anonymous caller informed ranks at the Springlands Police Station of the discovery.
