Home alone children…Brother,3, stabs five-year-oldFive-year-old Emmanuel Peters was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital yesterday afternoon after his three-year-old brother accidentally stabbed him in the right side neck with a pair of scissors.

According to reports, Peters and his two other siblings, all minors, were left alone at their Lot 7C Tucville residence when the incident occurred.
Devon Smith, the young man who took the child to the hospital, told this newspaper that he lives next door, and at around 16:30hours he was cutting his friend’s hair when Peters’s four-year-old sister ran outside screaming.
He added that when he took a closer look he saw a lot of blood gushing from the wound in the neck. He said that he jumped the fence, scooped up the injured child, and rushed him to the hospital with the help of other nearby persons. Reports state that at the time of the incident the children’s parents were at church.
They raced to the hospital after receiving word of the stabbing. Up to press time, the child was receiving medical attention and was said to be in stable condition.
