Following weeks of entertaining and exciting under-11 action in the Courts sponsored Georgetown football association Pee Wee League it’s now do or die for the teams that have advanced to the knock-out stage.
The Banks DIH Thirst Park ground is the venue where all the action will unfold as semi-final berths are at stake. Strike Again will play the first match of the day from 13:00hrs and their opponents will be East Bank’s Mocha Champs.
Next in line will be an all Georgetown affair between Santos and Conquerors from 14:00hrs.
An exciting duel is expected between Camptown and East Demerara’s Plaisance in the day’s 3rd encounter with the final game between West Demerara’s Pouderoyen and city side Beacon.
Competition at this level has made a welcome return to the city compliments of Courts Guyana who has seen the wisdom in partnering with the Georgetown Football Association.
Apart from the parents, guardians, aunts and uncles who have all been out supporting their young ones, coaches have been watching closely at the talent on show with a view to recruiting players for their teams.
And it is certain that a number of Young Golden Jaguars will come to the fore from this tournament.(Franklin Wilson)
