Middle Walk Back booked their place in the semi-final of the Buxton Inter Block football competition on Saturday last with a 3-1 whipping over Vigilance at the Buxton Playfield when the competition continued.
In the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports sponsored event, strikes by Rawle Fredricks with a double in the 21st and 60th minutes and Kwame Moffatt (24) piloted their team to victory.
Derrick Hatton pulled one back for Vigilance in the 67th minute. Middle Walk dictated the pace for the early part of the game but Vigilance found some life following the early goals, but the winners held out to come out in front.
The competition continues on Sunday at the same venue with Friendship Back coming up against Company Front.
Middle Walk are set to oppose Annandale in their semi-final encounter. They booked their place after their opening round win over Brusche Dam.
Meanwhile, Kwame Moffatt collected a football from Parliamentary Secretary in the Sports Ministry, Steve Ninvalle, for being voted the MVP of last Saturday’s the game.
