The Guyana Amateur Swimming Association is looking for former swimmers, athletes, swim-parents and sport-loving members of the public who are willing to work as volunteers for the Goodwill Swimming Championships.
Goodwill 2008 will be held at the Castellani Pool, Homestretch Avenue, from Friday August 15th to Sunday August 17th.
The best local swimmers will be competing against their counterparts from Barbados, Suriname and Trinidad & Tobago in a total of one hundred and twelve (112) events.
GASA needs volunteers especially for time-keeping and “manning” the gate and their souvenir stall.
Persons interested in forming part of the volunteer team are invited to an orientation session on Saturday from 15:00hrs at the Colgrain Pool, Camp Street.
A full practice will then be held during the Goodwill Time Trials – July 25th through 27th at Castellani Pool, Homestretch Avenue.
