The DeGroot siblings, Ashley and Raphael along with the Jeffery twins, Kayla and Keisha led the Guyana players to a winning start to their campaign at the Junior Caribbean Squash championships being played in Bermuda.
Raphael DeGroot disposed of home player Scott West in straight sets, while his sister did the same to Alex Marshall of Bermuda. The Jeffrey girls blanked their opponents without conceeding a point. Keisha beating Zoe Sorrentino (OECS) 9-0, 9-0, 9-0, while Kayla brushed aside Kennilee Ward of Barbados by a similar scoreline.
Alexander Arjoon, Oliver Kear-Downs and Abhishek Singh all were on winners’ row.
