The Cricket Development Committee of the Guyana Cricket Board has organised a Cricket Selectors workshop, which is set for tomorrow at the GCB’s Boardroom at Regent Street starting from 10:00am.
Registration of participants is set to commence from 9:00am tomorrow followed by the start of proceedings. The workshop is for cricket selectors from the three area boards; Demerara, Essequibo and Berbice and will look at several aspects pertaining to the role of a selector.
The aim of the programme is to upgrade and improve the performance of Guyana’s selectors with the intention of having a national policy where one set of criteria will be used in selecting area and national teams.
Chairman of Selectors Claude Raphael, Lennox Hunte and Coach Albert Smith will serve as the main resource personnel at tomorrow’s workshop.
Also scheduled to be present are Development Committee Chairman Malcolm Peters and Secretary Ron Legall, while GCB Assistant Secretary Ronald Williams has been tasked with delivering opening remarks.
