Residents of Kwakwani, especially those who live at the “waterfront” (close to the river), say that they are now at their wits end, as they battle floodwaters that have completely submerged the land surrounding their homes.

Boats have now become the common mode of transportation, within the community, with operators having to drop passengers off at their steps, a service they provide for $100 per person.
