An unbeaten 112 and a four-wicket haul from Guyanese Patrick Joseph spearheaded Foxton to their fourth consecutive victory in the English cricket leagues recently.
Joseph helped to restrict Eaton Socon to 196-7 off 48 overs and then followed up his unbeaten 43 last week by smashing 12 fours and four sixes in his century and got support from Max Bowen who made 81 not out, as Foxton reached 198 without loss from 25.4 overs to see the hosts to an emphatic 10-wicket win.
The visitors began well but once Matt Rawling (47) and Jonathon Carpenter (57) were separated the innings went into decline as Joseph and fellow Guyanese Antonnel Atwell conspired to orchestrate their demise with tidy bowling.
Terry Day offered token resistance towards the end of the innings with an undefeated 22.
Foxton remain top of the Cambs Premier Division 2 and entertain second place Cambridge NCI on Saturday.
Foxton had earlier claimed the Hobbs Cup with a six-wicket win over St Ives.
Having seen their opponents to183- 9 from 45 overs, Foxton responded with a brilliant 124 not out from former Guyanese youth left-hander Lawrence Farnum.
Sam Sabey (16), Antonnel Atwell (11) and Ian Cambridge (11 not out) also kept the score moving, with Foxton reaching 184 from 30.2 overs.
