The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) in preparation for Guyana’s participation in the upcoming Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Boys Under-17 Qualifiers to be played in Trinidad and Tobago in August has called up a squad for trial sessions starting tomorrow.
The players named are asked to assemble at the GFF’s Secretariat not later than 1:00pm tomorrow.
Those named in the squad:
From Bartica – Clive Welcome, Leroy Abrams, Hamley Martindale, Andel Norton and Lindsley Jones.
Berbice – Devon James, Kevin McCalmont and King Archer.
East Bank Demerara – Mark Tingoree,
East Coast Demerara – Les Charles, Treyon Hamilton, Jevon Gibson, William Europe, Keon Cappel and Runnel Gordon.
West Demerara – Peter Miggins, Troy Lewis and Keon Belgrave,
Upper Demerara – Jamal Gibbons, Sylvaun Chuck-a-Sack, Linden Benjamin (AROIMA), Jamal Garnett and Jermaine Batson.
Georgetown – Keon Alleyne, Kevin Craig, Joshua Kamal, Oslin Robinson, Alex Murray, and Marko Marcus
The players called must walk with their football boots, one pair of shin guards, football trunks, and football jerseys. In addition, they are asked to take along one pair of dark colored long pants, one white shirt, a bed sheet, pillow case and a cup.
Practice matches will be played from July 3 -10.
Official encampment and preparation will take place from July 10 – July 24.
The Technical Staff charged with the preparation of the team include:
Head Coach, Lyndon France; Assistant Coach – Development, Bill Wilson ; Assistant Coach, Samson Gilbert; Assistant Coach (Goalkeeping) Gavin Browne and Assistant Coach, Bilaal Nantambu.
Lawrence “Sparrow” Griffith has been appointed Logistics Coordinator for the Squad.
