The Guyana under-19 cricket team which will defend its TCL West Indies Three-Day title in Barbados next month were yesterday taken on a tour of the TCL Plant in Lombard Street, Georgetown.
The 14 players who will travel to Barbados, three stand-by players along with the Manager and Coach were given a first hand view of how cement was manufactured, packaged and shipped at the Plant which was officially launched on June 13, 2007.
Plant Technician Sherwin Robinson and TCL official Rosco Greene conducted the tour for the Guyana youth team which has five members from the side which retained their TCL title in St Kitts last year.
The team is scheduled to depart Guyana on July 2 for the tournament which concludes with the One-Day final on August 2.
