Is serious times and people behaving in serious ways. When dem want to know wha a competitor business does do dem does come up wid all kind of scheme. This time is a powerful scheme and it serious. It is no laughing matter.
When dem boys hear that de Waterfalls paper send some text message to a Minister claiming how it come from Fine Man, dem laugh because dem know that de last time dem had any dealings wid Fine Man was a whole heap of trouble. De people at de Waterfalls paper write up how Fine Man call dem and how dem talk to he.
De next thing is that de police deh hot pun dem tail. Since den dem done wid anything to do wid Fine Man. Dem even stop calling he name in de office because dem frighten somebody hear and call de police and tell dem how de Waterfalls paper got Fine Man in de place because dem hear people calling he name.
But if dem think dem was doing something good dem had a serious problem because somebody had other plans. It tek li’l time but dem boys know is who.
De paper successful suh people want to know wha de management does do; who de people does talk to; how much money dem does spend pun dem equipment; wha dem buy and who dem does buy from and things like that.
All de information that people does do in dem life deh pun de computer hard drive and de people who want to know de Waterfalls paper story.
Suh dem set up somebody to get de paper involve in this thing about sending message. Wha dem assume was that people know de cell number of de Minister who dem send de message to.
Dem boys also want to know why is only one Minister mek a noise when others get de same message. De Home Affairs Minister get de message and he got control over de police but he ain’t seh a word. Another Minister see de message and when dem boys call she de woman claim all she do was get up and close she door.
Is now dem boys start fuh get more suspicious. Dem have a new kid on the block and this new kid need a kick. Is a bad thing when a baby born and want to walk right away.
That is de case wid this new kid. He just come into de world and he want to walk right away suh he trying a thing wid help from some friends who got power.
Dem woulda get through if a man didn’t point out that if people put dem hand pun you hard drive dem gun know all you secrets. And is de secrets dem want.
And talking bout secrets, de police got plenty secrets and dem keeping some of dem real close to dem chest. For example, de floor of de Sparendaam lockups was raised up but de police keep it secret.
De matter come to light when Skinny walk though the hole and get away.
Dem boys seh that de matter come to light after Skinny disappear and is then dem talk how de rule is that dem station got to get visit every fortnight and how de lock ups got to check steady because it does lock up.
Imagine people see a car blink a light at Skinny and he wave and de police know that but dem ain’t do nutten to de car. Dem lef de car fuh park pun de road till Skinny come out de lock ups and walk away.
But dem have another serious issue. De police boss man tell dem reporters that Skinny and Biscuit is special watch. Dem boys know that special watch prisoners does wear different clothes.
Dem does wear bright clothes that would mek a blind man see dem. But this time de police mek de people wear dem same clothes.
Roger Khan in de States and when he going to prison he got to dress up in he bright clothes but that don’t happen in Guyana. Dem boys seh that this country got to be different.
De police shame, though. Dem decide that to create a side show dem gun discipline de people who wukking at de Sparendaam station. But de lady who in charge seh she gun talk suh dem boys waiting fuh de hammer to fall.
Talk half. Lef half.
