DEAR EDITOR,
Let Mr. Arokium, the two callers and the team of investigators tell us what really took place at that camp and who is responsible for this gruesome murders of innocent eight men.
So many others are jumping to conclusions in regard to the murder of the eight miners. Let the owner talk to the legal authorities on what he knows, since he already said according to newspapers’ reports that the Joint Services knew his camp existed there and the Joint Services mingled with his miners.
He also indicated that no economic activity was being conducted in the area according to newspapers’ reports. We do not know if these miners were warned of the on going joint security operations in the area.
Mr. Arokium told the press that he was scared for his life and not sleeping at one place. Could he tell the news media why is he afraid and who he is afraid of?
Mr. Arokium even told the press that it was highly unlikely that it was ‘Fine Man’ gang that committed this gruesome murder.
We have to remember that it was Mr. Leonard Arokium who discovered these dead men after receiving phone calls that there was shooting at the camp.
So he has lots to say to the investigators. Who made those phones calls, date and time those calls were made and what was said.
Mr. Arokium even stated that on numerous occasions Cedric Wong had been dropped by the soldiers to the leading trail of the camp.
He repeated that there was an association between soldiers and his men, who would sometimes go to the gate for cigarettes.
According to newspapers’ reports, Mr. Arokium said he believes that it could have been a case where ranks, having knowledge of his operations, attacked his camp and robbed his employees.
Is Mr. Arokium saying that it’s a different set of soldiers, who came to the camp and murdered his men and robbed them? If this is so then where did the original security forces go before others came to the camp?
According to newspapers’ reports, Mr. Arokium indicated that no economic activity was being conducted in the area. So robbery has to be ruled out, or Mr. Arokium could shed some light on what was stolen?
We need to hear from those who made the phone calls to Mr. Arokium on what was seen and said between Mr. Arokium and the two callers.
Remember what the youth man said about the criminal gang using a makeshift raft to cross the river? Could it be possible they used other guns? Did the security forces in the area see smoke from the raging fire that cremated these men?
One woman who called Mr. Arokium saying she heard gun shots at the camp, did she too not see fire and smoke? I won’t put it past those criminals of not having a makeshift raft in their arsenal because they know they might have to cross water sooner or later to escape security forces.
Let Mr. Arokium, the two callers and the team of investigators tell us what really took place at that camp and who is responsible for this gruesome murders of innocent men.
T. King
