Dear Editor,
In response to one Hamilton Green’s letter captioned, “If this is democracy, God help us” (Kaieteur News June 21-08)
Mr. Green said: “Mr. T. King appears to be the latest protagonist for the PPP/C Government programmes and philosophy in his response to Freddie Kissoon’s excellent analysis of this administration’s behaviour.
“In yesterday’s Kaieteur Newspaper, T. King dares to suggest that we are living in a democracy”.
Yes, Mr. Green, you live in a democracy and not an illusion, because you still have a free media to spew your venom on Government and myself.
Mr. Green said: “I am sure Freddie Kissoon has the capacity and penmanship to expose the flaws in T. King’s contention”.
I say Freddie Kissoon, myself and others also have the capacity and penmanship to expose the truth about yourself and your past PNC’s contentions, too.
Freddie Kissoon can speak for himself and tell us a thing or two, or three, about yourself and your past PNC brutal dictatorial illegal rule, too.
Mr. Green said: “What is happening today makes his and other allegations of 28 years of rigged elections and dictatorship look like child’s play”.
Child’s play you say, Mr. Green?
You bet it is child’s play comparing this present PPP/C Government to your past PNC brutal, dictatorial, illegal rule.
Mr. Green, why not tell us how many food items this PPP/C Government banned from Guyana, as opposed to PNC?
Mr. Green, tell us the last time you saw Guyanese lining up for food hampers, like they did under the PNC.
Kindly tell us why the PNC banned foods from Guyana, for food is sustenance of human life.
Mr. Green, is this not a sad chapter on your life, or are you and members of the PNC proud of this achievement?
Is it not time for you, Mr. Green, to right this terrible wrong which yourself and the PNC dictator did to our Guyanese people?
Mr. Green, tell us: how much debts this PPP/C Government paid off and begged to be written off which yourself and the PNC regime incurred?
Mr. Green, tell us why Guyana was importing sugar under the PNC regime, while she is producing about 250 thousand tonnes per year at present.
Mr. Green, tell us when last you saw horses pulling Tata buses, which you called public transport under the PNC.
Mr. Green, the PNC and you were not only unkind and cruel to Guyanese humans, but to animals as well.
Mr. Green, when last someone told you they applied for a Government job but was told they have to sign a PPP/C party card and become a member of the PPP/C?
Mr. Green, tell us the last time someone got killed by our security forces (GDF) trying to follow ballot boxes from polling stations for special counting.
Mr. Green, tell us the last time an opposition leader got blown to bits and pieces for opposing this Government, like Dr. Rodney who opposed the PNC.
Mr. Green, tell us the last time when a PPP/C member was brutally beaten by PPP supporters for telling the truth, like PNC Mr. Haslyn Parris did.
Mr. Green, am I a protagonist for the PPP/C, or is it cold hard facts and truths about yourself and your very own past PNC, and now your PNCR?
Sir, the only authority you must have is to come clean and tell the Guyanese masses how sorry you are for your past PNC brutal, dictatorial, illegal regime rule. Like they say, the truth shall set you free; so spill the beans now, or forever remain silent.
T. King
