Prince Charles is de leader of de PNC. Nuff people didn’t know that till dem see de Chronicle on Wednesday. Dem boys go to school believing all de time that Corbin was de party leader and especially since he was de one leading all dem street protests against so many things.
Was he who tek over when Uncle Dessy dead and de same party when de Congress decide that Robbie Corbin was de man to lead dem. Was he who fight off a challenge from Uncle Vincent and de McAllister boy and he mek a powerful speech about holding de party together through thick and thin.
He never tell de same party members that he hand over to Prince Charles but it had to be in secret because dem boys didn’t even know that Prince Charles had political ambitions in Guyana and that he had problems wid Bharrat. Was de same Prince Charles who tek time off to meet wid Bharrat whenever de youth man go to London.
So imagine dem boys shock when dem pick up de paper and see Bharrat shaking Prince Charles hand and de headline right next to de picture announcing that Opposition Leader meet President Jagdeo.
De long hair man who running de Chronicle still smiling at de coup he pull pun de other media because is only he who get de scoop.
That ain’t de only scoop. De Joint Services tackle the gang in de bush. Dem had to get a good tip because dem descend pun de camp and when dem open fire de gunmen run in de bush without clothes and food.
De police and de Joint Services then announce that some of de men wounded because dem see blood in de trail.
Dem boys seh that things tight fuh de gunmen because when dem hear de police talking, dem same boys know that things under control. Imagine how dem get surprise when dem hear that de gunmen play catcher wid de Joint Services.
Dem gunmen dodge de Joint Services people so that while de soldiers and police searching in de jungle de men come out, cross de river and start fuh get away.
Anyhow, dem ketch two and de two didn’t look hungry because dem had pot, stove, food and Nestum, something that plenty people don’t get.
And de set who do de ketching was dem who was in Linden and going to replace dem who deh in de bush.
Anyhow, dem boys claim that is a good thing that de soldiers ketch because dem find Sash Sawh credit card and he frequent flyer card.
That mean that de gunman was planning to fly out de country. He was going to get a passport in Sash Sawh name and he was going to buy de plane ticket in de same Sash Sawh name.
When he meet wheh he going, de gunman woulda use de credit card fuh buy everything he need, including AK-47.
Bharrat too chalking up some frequent flyer miles. He been to de States, then he go to London, now he gone back to de States and all in one week. Corbin been to de States then to Canada and then to Linden.
However, dem boys seh that de nation safe because dem hear is hundreds of soldiers now hunting de rest of de hungry gunmen. And of course once a man hungry he can’t walk far.
Talking bout walking, dem boys seh that is nuff people walking because car fare gone up just like gasoline and de people pay ain’t gone up.
One lady guh in a minibus and when she pay de usual fare de driver tun back wid she and put she off at de point wheh de money done and de poor woman had to walk back.
De woman cuss and she cuss more bad when a Minister pass she in he vehicle wid only de driver.
But wha tek de cake was de story bout de man who collect some stolen goods and then call de owner of de goods and tell she how he can get back everything if she pay he a small piece. He cutting time and de woman get back she goods.
Talk half. Lef half.
