A post mortem performed on the body of 82-year-old Margaret Sinjustin, who was found in her bed on Monday last in South Ruimveldt, has revealed that she died of manual strangulation.
A 14-year-old male relative who was taken into custody following the discovery, up to press time yesterday, was still assisting with investigations.
Initial reports stated that Sinjustin, who was crippled, was found partly nude with her hands bound behind her back by a relative in her 418 Cane View Avenue, South Ruimveldt Gardens home shortly after 21:00 hours.
The landlord of the premises has said that the relative who is currently in custody went home at about 17:00 hours, and soon after he began playing loud music.
Investigations are ongoing.
