Milerock FC squeezed past Bakewell Topp XX by the odd goal in 5 to take the overall lead in the Banks DIH / Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport / Upper Demerara Football Association division one league in their clash on Sunday at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground, Linden.
Guiding Milerock to victory with a double was Andre Chester who rocked the nets in the 19th and 78th minute. Steve Brewley accounted for the other goal in the 55th minute as Milerock continues their fairy tale run in this year’s championship having ended as the second to last team last year.

And Netrockers gained maximum points despite not scoring any goals in their match up with Eagles who scored an own goal compliments of Keon Smith in the 22nd minute.
The full points standings is as follows: Milerock 12, Bakewell Topp XX 10, Blue Berry Hill 9, Netrockers 8, Silver Shattas 7, Amelia’s Ward United 7, Winners connection 4 and Eagles United 0.
