Rangers, Leonora Youths and La Grange all recorded wins in latest matches of the Guyana Softball League Banks DIH sponsored 15-over Softball Cricket following play last Sunday.
At Den Amstel Ground: Rangers XI continued their winning ways by defeated Good Fortuin XI by 114 runs.
Rangers XI batted first and scored 166-6 in 15 overs (Safraz Karim 43 (5×6); Khusial Persaud 29 (4×6); Riaz Karim 27 (3×6); Ravi Narine 3-30 from 3 overs) In reply Good Fortuin XI made a disappointing 52 all out in 10 overs (Ravindra Kooblall 19(2×6);Safraz Karim 2-8 from 3 overs; Riaz Karim 2-10 fro m 3 overs).
Leonora Youths defeated Skyline XI by 52 runs: Leonora Youths won the toss and batted scoring 172-6 in 15 overs (Ravindra Ramnarine 40 (4×6); Javed Samad 40 (5×6); Randy Ramdhani 34 not out (4×6); Bishwa Tiwari 3-16). When Skyline batted they made a spirited 120 all out in 11.4 overs (Davendra Seedat 24 (3×6); Harry Singh 23 (2×6); Rajin Rahaman 4-22)
At Providence Ground Pitch # 1: La Grange All Youths XI defeated Silver Belt XI by 42 runs: La Grange All Youths batted first scoring 165-4 in 15 overs (Vishaul Persaud 49 (4×6); Ricky Persaud 36 (3×6); Ravindra Adjodha 3-25) Silver Belt XI in reply made 123 all out in 14 overs (Ravindra Adjodha 26(2×6); Deokarran Khemraj 5-23 from 3 overs).
La Grange All Youths in their second match made it two wins in a row by defeating Michael XI by 48 runs.
La Grange All Youths batted making 159-7 in 15 overs (Ricky Persaud 50 (6×6); Compton Melbourne 30 (3×6); Rohit Ramdass 2-31 from 3 overs) In reply Michael XI made 111 all out in 14 overs (Rohit Ramdass 19 (2×6); Vishal Kissoon 2-31 from 3 overs).
At Providence Pitch # 2: Players XI defeated Street Boys XI in a close encounter by 8 runs: Players XI took first strike and made 81 all out in 13 overs(Avinash Karim 16 (2×6); Chris Shaw 3-15 from 3 overs) In reply Street Boys XI made 72 all out in 14 overs (Kissoon Boodhoo 23 (3×6);Jairam Mohabir 3-9 from 3 overs; Ricardo Kedun 2-8 from 3 overs).
Players XI in their second match lost to Country Side XI by 47 runs: Country Side XI batted first and scored 141 all out in 15 overs (Safdar Ali 42 (5X6); Rakesh Sookhoo 22 (2×6); Ricardo Kello 2-21 from 3 overs) In reply Players XI were shot out for 94 (Hamesh Bynoe 18 (1×6); Krishna Deosarran 3-21 from 3 overs; Richard Gomes 2-16 from his 3 overs).
Rapid Fire XI got a walkover from Grantville XI.
At NIS Ground: Trophy Stall XI defeated Better Hope XI by 45 runs: Trophy Stall took first turn at the crease and hit 142-5 in 15 overs (Mark Harold 58 (7×6); Rajin Mohamed 48 (4×6); Dave Sookhoo 2-26 from 3 overs) In reply Better Hope could only get to 97 all out in 13.3 overs (Ravi Singh 32 (3×6); Wayne Narine 21 (2×6); Dindial Lakhan 3-21 from 3 overs; Gary Singh 2-11 from 3 overs).
Better Hope XI in their second match of the day redeemed themselves by defeating Tradesmen XI by 9 wkts: Tradesmen XI were inserted and were bowled out for 88 in 14.1 overs (Sookram Gabbar 29 (3×6); Dinesh Badree 4-4 from 3 overs; Nazim Khan 3-9 from 3 overs) Better Hope XI made 90-1 in 6.5 overs (Mark Bisram 63 not out (7×6); Vinod Singh 1-26).
Trophy Stall in their second match of the day defeated Tradesmen XI by a massive 149 runs: Trophy Stall XI batted and amassed a massive 214-6 in 15 overs (Suresh Deosarran 68 (8×6); Rafman Ally 2-36 from 3 overs) In reply Tradesmen XI could only muster 65 all out in 10.4 overs (Anand Ramnarine 15 (2×6); Dindial Lakhan 2-5 from 3 overs).
At Everest Ground: Destroyers XI got two walkovers from Eccles Sports Club and Bourda Market XI respectively.
