DEAR EDITOR,
I wish to congratulate the Alliance For Change (AFC) for launching their “Seeds of Change” project last week.
This is the type of thing that people expect their political parties to be doing for them, rather than talking and blaming the Government for everything.
We have to get up and do for ourselves sometimes, because nobody will do anything for you.
Peeping Tom, in last Sunday’s column, wrote about the AFC sharing seeds but not helping to prepare the land for people.
I like Pepping Tom for exposing corruption and some of the nonsense which goes on in Guyana; but he got it wrong, because my understanding, from what I read in the papers about the AFC’s project, is that plants and seeds are being given to mostly individual households for planting in yards, not the mega-farms that Jagdeo keeps promising. “One, one dutty build dam”.
Keep up the good work, AFC; and I urge all political parties, churches, trades unions, youth groups etc. to join in and follow suit.
