Dear Editor,
It’s a sad day for this beautiful country when you read the daily newspapers.
Imagine, the Customs fiasco, with officials being sacked because they failed polygraph tests.
Well, President Jagdeo, it’s time for you and your Cabinet to do the right thing, and you yourselves do polygraph tests immediately. I am not asking for much, but for the nation to be satisfied.
If your government does not have anything to hide, then do the tests. If all your ministers are “honest Johns” then let them take polygraph tests, too.
I admire the Peeping Tom articles throughout last week, which dealt with the Sanata Textile fiasco.
Well, what more can we Guyanese endure? So many secretive deals are being made, and to top it all off, these deals concern all Guyanese. I believe there should be a debate in Parliament about these issues. Mr. Corbin should stop taking to the streets and take his issues to Parliament.
Lastly, I think that President Jagdeo should give increases to pensioners, due to the high cost of living.
