A 17-year-old murder accused and another man were yesterday remanded to prison after they were jointly charged with buggery.
The duo Deon Braithwaite, 21, of X D’Urban Street, and Dellon Henry, called ‘Nasty Man’, of Third Street, Agricola, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle.
They are accused of sodomising Mervin Williams on November 2, last year. The charge was indictable and the accused were not required to plead.
Both accused, the court was told, are inmates of the Georgetown Prisons and the incident reportedly occurred at the correctional facility.
The magistrate refused them bail and ordered that they make their next court appearance on June 16, in another court where they both have pending matters.
Henry is currently on remand for the murder of Bagotstown business Wordsworth Grey. His co-accused is incarcerated for a narcotics offence.
