Fourteen-year-old Renetta Blake of 882 Patensen, Turkeyen, has gone missing and members of her family are praying that she returns home safely.
It is however, the belief of some members of the family that the girl has run away from home.
According to the girl’s mother, Tasine Blake, she last saw her daughter on Tuesday. She explained that the girl, who is the fourth of the six children she shares with her husband Reginald Blake, left at around 22:00 hours to turn off a pipe in the yard and never returned.
“We were all sitting watching TV and she say that she going and turn off the pipe in the yard…I believe the girl, but like was all a plan…”
The woman admitted that the girl had successfully performed a similar feat last November when her father had travelled to Barbados but she returned three days later after efforts were made to find her.
Since her return, the concerned woman said that the child requested not to be sent back to school and instead, asked to be sent to cosmetology school which she is expected to commence in September.
The woman said that her constant efforts to determine where her daughter had gone during the previous missing period were futile and now she has no clue where the girl could be.
She added that while she is optimistic that the child will return, she is still hoping that nothing tragic befalls her.
As such she noted that she would be grateful if anyone knowing the whereabouts of the young girl could contact the Turkeyen Police Station on 225-4119 where a report has been made or the family on 219-2372 or 643-8871.
Renetta, who is of mixed ancestry, is said to be about 168 centimetres in height, brown in complexion, and has shoulder length, black, curly hair. She was last seen wearing a white vest with a red heart design on the front, a black short pants and a pair of slippers.
