Ariel upset Untouchables in last weekend’s action

Playing at the NIS Ground on Carifesta Avenue, Ariel XI crated an upset when they defeated Untouchables XI of Berbice by 4 wickets in a thrilling encounter with the match going down to the last ball.

Scores from the matches played: Untouchables XI batted first in wet conditions scoring 130-3 in 15 overs (Vicky Veerasammy 64 not out (7×6;3×4); David Looknauth 20 (2×6); Dharam Persaud 1-16 off 3 overs) When Ariel Batted they scored 136-6 off the last ball of the fifteenth over (Ejaz Mohamed 31 (3×6); Sadeek Gittens 33 not out (4×6); Roy Jafferally 4-19 off 3 overs).

Untouchables XI in their second Match destroyed the Destroyers XI by 125 runs:
Untouchables won the toss and batted scoring a winning total of 172-3 in 15 overs (Roy Jafferally 83 not out (11 mighty sixes); Roy Samad 28 (2×6); Ramnarine Sawh 1-24 from 3 overs) Destroyers XI in reply were bundled out for 47 in 8.4 overs (Ramnarine Sawh 22 (3×4); Troy Kippins 4-14 from 3 overs; Vivian De Silva 3-0 from 2.5 overs).

Untouchables XI in their third Match of the day thrashed Silver Belt XI by 148 runs:
Untouchables XI batted first and amassed 192-6 in 15 overs (Roy Jafferally 62 retired hurt (7×6); Zaheer Malchan 40 (5×6); Dhanraj Ramraj 2-25) In their turn Silver Belt XI succumbed for 44 in 9.1 overs (Ravendra Nauth 13 not out (1×6;1×4); Vivian De Silva 2-25 from 3 overs).

At Good Fortuin Ground: Good Fortuin defeated Top Notch XI by 4 wickets:

Top Notch XI won the toss and batted scoring 110 all out in 14.5 overs: (Davendra Baksh 25 (3×6); Anand Bharat 16 (1×6); Marvin Smith 3-6 from 3 overs; Greg Singh 2-24).

Good Fortuin XI in their second match defeated Firecrew XI by 59 runs: Good Fortuin batted first scoring 132-7 in 15 overs (Rajendra Kurst 40 (4×6); Marvin Smith 27 (2×6); Diaram Persaud 2-26) Firecrew XI in reply were bundled out for 73 in 10 overs (Ravendra Balkissoon 15 (1×6); Greg Singh 3-8).

At Providence: Rangers XI defeated Rapid Fire XI by 67 runs: Rangers XI batted first scoring 218 all out in 15 overs (Ameer Nizamuddeen 45 (4×6); Safraz Karim 45 (3×6); Zaman Ali 3-45; Hakeem Khan 2-32) Rapid Fire made a spirited reply scoring 151-4 in 15 overs (Zakir Ali 45 (3×6); Hakeem Khan 22 (2×6); Doodnauth Singh 2-25; Safraz Karim 1-10).
