The importance of the family life is being highlighted this week even as Family Awareness Week is being observed by the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a religious denomination.
The observance which commenced on Sunday with a church service continued on Monday with a number of exhibitions at various locations, including the Vreed-en-Hoop Stelling, West Bank Demerara, an activity that will culminate on Friday.
According to member of the church, Parbhudial Singh, the observance has been an annual feature over the years. It has as its main aim, giving guidance to families in a variety of ways, all of which are geared at bettering family life.
Through the week-long exhibition, Singh said that individuals from the society can approach members of the church to enquire of the little important factors which must be addressed.
The exhibition, which is characteristic of a display of reading materials and television shows, highlights the need for family to make time for each other, improve communication and to emphasise values.
By following the three simple steps in detail, it is expected that families could be much happier, according to Singh.
