With just a few days to go before the Ancient County of Berbice is set alight with a number of new kids on the block aiming to make their name in the sport of Bodybuilding, corporate Guyana has continued to recognise their important role in motivating and rewarding the athletes for their efforts.
Stepping on board with the Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation yesterday were Farfan & Mendes, Exclusive Styles and Wireless Connections.
These entities made monetary contributions to the Federation. Exclusive Styles handed over a voucher valued at $10,000 that will go to a lucky athlete on Saturday night.
In handing over the voucher to Assistant Secretary/Treasurer of the Federation Keemo Fyffe, Supervisor of the Boutique located on Camp Street, Troy Allen disclosed that they were happy to be contributing to another body building event, having done so for the recent Hugh Ross Classic.
“We have been doing our bit to support the development of sports having contributed to football also.”
Store Manager of Farfan & Mendes Leyland Mingo informed that his company recognises their role as a corporate citizen and has been fulfilling that to date.
“We have supported the efforts of the Bodybuilding Federation before and will continue to do so when there is the need. Farfan & Mendes has a great track record in assisting our young sportsmen and women and we will continue to maintain this support in many years to come.”
Fyffe expressed gratitude on behalf of the Federation to Exclusive Styles, Farfan & Mendes and Wireless Connections for partnering with the organisation to ensure the success of these championships.
The Banks Malta/GABBFF Novice and Intermediate championships will come off on Saturday evening at the New Amsterdam Town Hall.
