The Ancient County of Berbice will be set alight with carved muscles and well toned bodies when the Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GABBFF) brings off their annual Novice and Intermediate Bodybuilding Championships at the New Amsterdam Town Hall.
Banks DIH through their Malta Brand is the main sponsor and a launching is set for this afternoon at their Board Room at Thirst Park.
A. Ally and Sons of New Amsterdam have already pitched in their support for the championships and last week they presented a letter of commitment to the Federation at their Berbice Store.
Manager Faizal Ally said they will be taking care of all the 1st place trophies in the Intermediate Championship and he handed over the letter of commitment to Vice President of the GABBFF Aretha Adams.
Ally said they have always been very supportive of sports and the development of young athletes especially in the Ancient County and was happy to be contributing to the GABBFF’s cause.
In response Adams thanked Ally and his company for their partnership which would certainly aid in the success of this weekend’s activity. Another Berbice entity, Gordon’s also made a donation of trophies which would cover the female 3rd places in the Intermediate Competition.
Also on board is the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club which contributed 15 Hygienic packs for the competition among some other items to the Federation.
The launching of the championships is set for13:30hrs today at Banks DIH, Thirst Park.
