Police rank hospitalised after shooting self in leg

A Police Corporal is currently hospitalized after he accidentally shot himself in the left foot yesterday.
Reports are that the incident occurred at sometime around 14:30 hours at the Timehri Police Station. The rank has been identified as Corporal Johnson, who is currently stationed at Impact Base, Brickdam. While reports are still sketchy on the incident, this newspaper was told that the rank was handing over a prisoner to ranks at the Timehri Police Station when his weapon accidentally went off, discharging three rounds. One of the bullets struck him in his left foot. He was immediately rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he was treated and subsequently admitted.
