The Parrot continues to find amusement in the uncalled for, unjustified and unpatriotic protests organised by the folks at Palm Tree jungle. In the first place it is laughable that people are allegedly forced to march by a party that accuses the government of being undemocratic.
As far as what is being said, the protests, amongst other things, are to protest the increases in food prices and their effects on the working class. Palm Tree jungle which got plenty hard working people, always make accusation on what they see as high unemployment. They say if people don’t work, they don’t eat.
The registration exercise has provided an opportunity for party loyalists to be gainfully employed, and by extension, to be able to provide for themselves and family.
The protests are fast becoming a sham. They commenced with the suspension of the half-dozen channel, whose owner participated in the initial marches. That matter is now in court and it appears that the man is “short” in his attendance of the farcical marches.
Is it that he realised that his issue was never the real intention of protest by those in the Place of CONgress? Uncle Bob in a recent de-press conference listed the reasons for his protest and never mentioned the issue surrounding the Half-dozen channel. Laughable? Oh yes. A recent funny but pertinent cartoon that appeared in the Big Market paper captured the issue perfectly. I hope Uncle Glenn don’t mind me recommending the cartoon to readers.
Uncle Bob has to understand his role given that he is an integral part of the political landscape. His well being is of interest to all. He has to know this and not be distracted by trying to become a TV host. The Parrot has to fault him for being blatantly careless as it regards to his cell phone. Two days ago it was rumoured that he was arrested. Calls to his mobile were unanswered fuelling speculation that indeed he was. People turned up at the station and many became uneasy that the Bob might be in the slammer.
Eventually, he surfaced and indicated that he was ‘incommunicado’ since his phone was not working. This is a poor excuse. School children ensure that their phones work and they ain’t got responsibility like him.
In the interest of national security and to prevent a repeat of that situation, the Parrot is calling on anyone, just anyone out there to give him a phone, a working one. Can you hear me DGsell and Blue Power?
